See the Movie, Hear the Music
"A sumptuous musical epic...a love story, a drama of revenge and the story of a young musical rebel felled in his prime." - David Ansen, Newsweek

AMADEUS
2002 Special Edition Director's Cut
Celebrate Mozart and support the Marin Symphony at this exclusive screening of the historic, Academy Award-winning movie. Released in 1985, Amadeus won 8 Academy Awards, including best picture and best actor, and also captured best picture of the year in Italy, France, Norway and Japan.
This lavish film tells a story of the last 10 years of Mozart’s massively prolific and unusual life. The soundtrack includes selections from Così fan tutte, Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Don Giovanni and many other classic works composed by this musical genius of the 18th century. Particularly featured in the film is Mozart’s last, and some say greatest work, the Requiem Mass in D Minor. See the movie on January 24 then join us one week later in the concert-hall for a live performance of the Mozart Requiem.
Don’t miss this special opportunity to see Amadeus on the big screen, surrounded by Dolby sound, fellow Mozart lovers and Symphony supporters.
