Remembrance and Renewal

PROGRAM 4: Remembrance and Renewal

Thanks to everyone who attended our concerts on Sunday and Tuesday. “Our Marin Symphony Chorus sounded better that ever before…” -Alasdair Neale, Music Director

Brahms’ noble A German Requiem pays homage to the living in his towering choral masterpiece. Anna Clyne’s Within her Arms is a sensitive meditation for strings. Separated by 150 years, both works were inspired by the deaths of the composers’ mothers.

Discover more about composers Anna Clyne and Brahms. View Program Notes by Jon Kochavi. Learn more about our 100-member Chorus and its director, Stephen McKersie. Read bios for our guest soloists, Ao Li and Marina Harris.
