Our 2009-10 season celebrates the role of music in the lives and inspirations of authors. In developing our season program, we asked several prominent, local authors to reflect on how classical music has touched their lives. Pre-concert all season, these authors join Alasdair Neale to share their stories, including describing the role played by the programmed piece of music. Maestro Neale will also discuss the historical and compositional significance of selected works on the concert program. He’ll point out key melodic themes that you will recognize as you listen during the performance. |
