Volunteering your time and energy to the Marin Symphony Association is a great way to reap significant cultural and social benefits while providing vital support to our organization. Like all cultural institutions, we couldn't function without our volunteers! In turn, our volunteers enjoy receiving:

Some volunteers prefer to work directly with staff, assigned to specific concert, event or office duties. Other volunteers may enjoy belonging to any of the following Marin Symphony volunteer groups, defined primarily by the activities they support: |

PRELUDE - An auxiliary of professional women whose goals are to promote audience building for the Marin Symphony, to act as a fundraising arm and to enjoy exclusive social activities sponsored by Prelude. | |

HARMONY - Young male and female professionals who host and administer informal social events, fundraisers and the Mountain Play raffle | |

MARIN SYMPHONY LEAGUE - a time-honored volunteer group that has been supporting the Marin Symphony through fundraisers and raffles almost since the Symphony's first season. | |
Wherever possible, we try to match assigned responsibilities to volunteers' areas of skill and interest. We have many jobs to be fulfilled, including:
- Office assistance (phones, mailings, data entry)
- Concert hall reception (in the lobbies and Green Room)
- Holiday Concert support
- Guest artist relations (gift basket, chauffeuring, translating)
- Mountain Play "Dress Rehearsal" Benefit fundraiser support
- Gala fundraisers
- Youth Programs events
